Why does insulating glass have steam? How to deal with it?

Glass is made of quartz sand, soda ash, feldspar and limestone, etc., after mixing, high temperature melting, homogenization, processing and forming, and then annealing. Widely used in construction, daily use, art, instrumentation and other fields, with rich varieties and superior performance. In addition to making various glass doors and windows, we often make it into various lenses, decorations, etc. If you want to know what to do if there is steam in double glazing, and what are the application areas of insulating glass, please see below.

First, What to do if there is steam in the double-layer glass

There is water vapor in the middle of the double-layer glass, indicating that the double-layer glass has been damaged, the seal has been broken, and it needs to be disassembled and re-installed.

  1. Remove the window, lay the glass flat on the ground, use a wallpaper knife to separate the glass along the upper glass, and put it aside. Then use the wallpaper knife to pull off the adhesive strip on the lower glass, and use the knife mark to clean up the residue of the adhesive strip clean.
  2. Clean the back of the two pieces of glass with a cloth or other things, and place them flat on the ground or workbench.
  3. On the cleaned piece of glass, stick it with double-sided tape along the four sides of the glass to achieve the sealing effect, without leaving any gaps, and then buckle the other piece of glass on the glass with double-sided tape glued, lightly use the edge. The four sides of the glass are pressed well to prevent water from entering again and producing water vapor.
  4. Then put the pressed glass on the plastic steel doors and windows, and use a small hammer to smash the bead well.

Second, What are the application fields of insulating glass

Insulating glass is mainly used in buildings that require heating, air conditioning, preventing noise or condensation, and requiring no direct sunlight and special light. Widely used in residences, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, schools, hospitals, shops and other occasions that require indoor air conditioning. It can also be used for doors and windows of trains, cars, ships, freezers, etc.

Insulating glass is mainly used for outer glass decoration. Its optical properties, thermal conductivity, and sound insulation coefficient should meet national standards. The structure is reasonable and the insulating glass is designed to meet the standard, in order to exert its heat insulation, sound insulation, anti-theft and fire-proof effects. The use of vacuum double-layer tempered glass can reach laboratory standards! There are also insulating glass with added inert gas and color pigment gas on the market, as well as adding beauty strips for reinforcement and decoration.

The function of insulating glass aluminum spacer: Aluminum is called an active metal element, but a dense oxide film will form on its surface in the air, so that it cannot continue to interact with oxygen and water. It can react with oxygen at high temperature and release a lot of heat. With this high heat of reaction, aluminum can replace metals from other oxides (thermite method).
